Vasco is a Companion and Recruitable Crew Member in Starfield. Vasco is the first companion the player ever encounters. During One Small Step, Vasco joins the player. Companions in Starfield are special NPCs that may join you along your journey. They have their unique personality, starting equipment, abilities, and moral compass. This may make your actions collide with them, leading you to confront or align them with your decisions. Despite being a main Companion, Vasco cannot be romanced.
