Bounty Hunter is a Background (Class) in Starfield. Bounty Hunters start with knowledge on using boost packs and an aptitude for piloting ships. Backgrounds can be considered as starting Classes for Starfield, determining the player's initial capabilities both in and out of combat. Each Background comes with three starting Skills, but does not limit which Skills can be learned and upgraded later on.
Wherever there are wanted individuals, there are those who profit from their capture. And your quarry knows that in the vastness of space, they can run… but they can't hide.

Players that choose Bounty Hunter as a Background will start with the following Skills:
Piloting
As more people journey into space, the number of those certified to effectively pilot various types of spacecraft has increased dramatically.
Targeting Control Systems
Missile weapons are favored because they can lock onto an enemy ship, but an intimate knowledge of tracking systems can make them even more effective.
Boost Pack Training
Specialized training and innovations in personal mobility systems have allowed for unfettered exploration on alien worlds.
How to obtain Bounty Hunter in Starfield
Players can obtain Bounty Hunter when choosing their Background during Character Creation. Doing so may affect certain dialogues and relationships with the different Factions present in the game. Only one Background can be chosen, after which it cannot be changed.

Probably the best starting background in the game due to Boost Pack and Targeting ***h having excellent value early on. Boost packs accelerate travel/exploration and should be a priority, while just one point in Targeting allows disabling of ships for boarding aka looting and commandeering of ships. Better ships early, and tons of fun.
