NPCs in Starfield are the cast of characters you will meet along your journey through the different Locations present in the game. While advancing through the Story they will offer you choices and Quests, some of them will be able to become your Companions and part of your Crew and some of them will become your Enemies.
Like many classic Bethesda games, players can choose from multiple dialogue options when speaking to an NPC. Todd Howard said proudly that the depth of Starfield's NPC interactions surpassed past Bethesda games with over 252,953 lines of dialogue compared to Skyrim's 60,000 lines and Fallout 4's 111,000 lines.
Persuasion in Starfield
To persuade a person. you need to make successful Choices. Choices can range from kind words, to distractions, to threats. Each choice has a difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the greater the chance the choice falls, but the more points you'll earn when you succeed. You have a limited number of choices you can make, but you can never fail if your last choice succeeds.
