Faction Missions in Starfield are exclusive assignments that are aligned with the various groups in the galaxy. Faction Missions are Missions that contribute to the player's relationship with a faction, progress the storyline of the group, and grant unique rewards. Faction Missions are optional quests, while some may be prerequisites to advance a plot, other faction missions are not required to be completed to finish the main campaign of Starfield. Each Faction Mission must be completed sequentially; you must first complete a previous Faction Mission before being able to unlock the next. The first Mission for all Factions usually involves an initiation program or task obtained by visiting the Factions main base of operations.
