Outpost Structures in Starfield are buildings that can be built on an existing Outpost. The Outpost Structures are parts of the Starfield Outposts that you can add to allow the construction and connection of these buildings. The Starfield Outpost Structures each have their own required materials to construct, and once built, will also need resources such as power to run. This page will cover all relevant information to understand how Outpost Modules work, the resources needed to run a module, the different categories, and more.
What are the Outpost Structures in Starfield?
Outpost Structures require specific resources to be built. These resources will vary from one structure to another, and they can usually be gathered while exploring a Planet/Moon, or by purchasing them from the various Merchants that you will meet in different locations.
Habs, or short for Habitats are an essential part of an Outpost. These parts will dictate the type of crew you can recruit and need as well. These are not only for decoration but they are also functional in Outposts. There are Science Habs, Hydroponic, and Military habs. These buildings can be freely built and connected provided that you have the requirements needed. Structures in Starfield require a combination of Airlocks and Hallways to create entrances and exits.
The design of your Outpost will depend on how you create it and the main resources needed to construct these are:

Outpost Airlock
Outpost Airlock serves as the entrance and exit to your habs. The airlock is made in combination with Hallways so that your habs are connected while making sure that the atmosphere is controlled within the habs. Outpost Airlocks can be built freely, provided that you have the resources needed. Airlocks do not require power to function, unlike other facilities.

Does the type of material matter? I read that your base can be attacked but glass seems to stop radiation as well as lead so I’m guessing that it doesn’t.
