Astrophysics Ranks Progression in Starfield
Astrophysics has 4 Ranks that players can unlock. Each Rank introduces a unique effect, offering a diverse range of benefits. To progress to the next Rank, players must complete a challenge specific to that Rank. Only after completing the challenge can you invest another point in the Skill

You can scan any planet or moon within 30 Light Years. You have a 50% chance to discover a trait when scanning. | Complete the previous rank challenge to unlock this rank. |
