Cyber Runner is a Background (Class) in Starfield. Cyber Runners start with knowledge on security systems and an aptitude for subterfuge. Backgrounds can be considered as starting Classes for Starfield, determining the player's initial capabilities both in and out of combat. Each Background comes with three starting Skills, but does not limit which Skills can be learned and upgraded later on.
From Neon to New Atlantis, the megacorps stand as monuments to power, prestige, and profit. You've worked both for and against them. On the Inside and out, often sacrificing conscience for credits.
Starfield Cyber Runner Starting Skills
Players that choose Cyber Runner as a Background will start with the following Skills:
Stealth
For a combatant who values discretion above all else, the ability to approach a target while undetected and kill with a silenced weapon is as terrifying as it is effective.
Security
While the standardized digital locking mechanism is renowned for its security, any code can be broken with the proper training.
Theft
While not entirely honorable, and certainly not legal, it is nonetheless occasionally necessary to discreetly remove property from someone's person.
How to obtain Cyber Runner in Starfield
Players can obtain Cyber Runner when choosing their Background during Character Creation. Doing so may affect certain dialogues and relationships with the different Factions present in the game. Only one Background can be chosen, after which it cannot be changed.
