Adoring Fan is a Companion and Recruitable Crew Member in Starfield. Adoring Fan is a special Companion that can only be met by the player if they choose to have a very specific Trait during Character Creation. Companions in Starfield are special NPCs that may join you along your journey. They have their unique personality, starting equipment, abilities, and moral compass. This may make your actions collide with them, leading you to confront or align them with your decisions. The Adoring Fan cannot be romanced.

How to Get Adoring Fan in Starfield

In order to get Adoring Fan to join you, you have to:

  • Players are only able to encounter the Adoring Fan if they choose to have the Trait, "Hero Worshipped" when they made their character during Character Creation.
  • By simply following the game's story, the Adoring Fan can be encountered when the player first lands in New Atlantis, on planet Jemison within the Alpha Centauri System.
  • Players will be able to quickly notice a blonde NPC running straight toward them randomly as they explore the area.

  • The Adoring Fan is a nod to an NPC of the same name in Bethesda's older game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In that game, the Adoring Fan is also a die-hard fan of the player due to his success at the arena. He sports the same head of hair and similarly showers the player with compliments and praises.
  • The Adoring Fan is voiced by Craig Sechler who also voiced the same character in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

      The Adoring Fan is the only recruitable NPC (that I've seen) that has a pop-up specifically telling you that he becomes essential when assigned to a ship or outpost until un-assigned. This is likely referring to the way many players killed The Adoring Fan in Oblivion due to his annoying nature.
