Sanctum Universum is a Faction in Starfield. It is one of the known religious groups in Starfield and they refer to themselves as Universals. They have a strong focus on the invention of the Grav Jump and relate it to a higher being. Factions are organizations or groups that control or have influence over specific territories and Star Systems. Each Faction has its own set of values and beliefs that are implemented into how they run as a group.

- How to Join the Sanctum Universum: Players have the choice to choose Raised Universal as a Trait during Character Creation. With this trait, you gain a significant discount at the Sanctum Universum store, but lose access to the Enlightened store. You can also gain access to the Universum Sactum Chest in New Atlantis. The chest is located in the yellow building - the Sanctum Universum, just across the Freedom Collective Embassy in New Atlantis.

- As a player, you can then align yourself with one or multiple Factions to gain additional Missions and Rewards from them and gain access to additional benefits and Locations. Factions you don't have an alliance with have a chance to be hostile against you when entering their territory and can potentially put a bounty on you. You can join Factions by accepting and completing Faction Missions which will contribute to the player's relationship with a faction and progress the storyline of the group.
