Freestar Collective is a Faction in Starfield. The Freestar Collective Faction carries influence over the Cheyenne System. Players can choose to be recruited as a Freestar Ranger to ensure the safety and security of the Freestar Collective. Freestar Rangers will have jurisdiction over any local security when tracking fugitives. Their base is known as The Rock and can be found in Akila City, Akila. The Freestar Rangers Mission Board can be also found at their base for additional Freestar Collective Missions. Join the Faction to gain the Achievement: Deputized. Factions are organizations or groups that control or have influence over specific territories and Star Systems. Each Faction has its own set of values and beliefs that are implemented into how they run as a group.

- How to Join the Freestar Collective: Players can begin encountering and accepting Missions from the Freestar Collective once they progress through enough of the Main Storyline. You will need to reach The Empty Nest You will then have access to the quests Job Gone Wrong or Deputized. Complete Deputized as a way of proving their worthiness to join the Freestar Rangers. Ranger Emma Wilcox will provide you with a task in Akila City, Akila. When the task is complete, report back to her.

- In the year 2167, intrepid trailblazer Solomon Coe claimed and named the Cheyenne star system. He then set his boots down on this very planet, which he named Akila, and although he was but a single man, Solomon Coe named this new settlement Akila City- because he knew that someday his dream would OEM true, and his tiny outpost would one day grow into the thriving frontier town it is today.
- All we ask is that you treat everyone you meet in Akila City the way you'd want to be treated yourself: with respect, kindness, good cheer. Our trained security officers are here for you protection, but it's protection you'll seldom need.
- For a better standing with this Faction, players can select the Freestar Collective Settler Trait which can be selected from Character Creation. With this trait, You gain access to special Freestar Collective dialogue options and better rewards from some missions given by the faction. But crime bounty towards other factions is greatly increased.
- Loading Excerpt: With no social safety net, it is incredibly difficult for the disadvantaged in the Freestar Collective to improve their situation.
- As a player, you can then align yourself with one or multiple Factions to gain additional Missions and Rewards from them and gain access to additional benefits and Locations. Factions you don't have an alliance with have a chance to be hostile against you when entering their territory and can potentially put a bounty on you. You can join Factions by accepting and completing Faction Missions which will contribute to the player's relationship with a faction and progress the storyline of the group.
