Crimson Fleet is a Faction in Starfield. The Crimson Fleet Faction carries influence over the Kryx System. The Crimson Fleet are the well-known pirates that will take what they believe is theirs. You can have hostile encounters with them or even engage in helping with taking them and their ships down. Those who choose to join this Faction will gain the Rook Meets King Achievement. Factions are organizations or groups that control or have influence over specific territories and Star Systems. Each Faction has its own set of values and beliefs that are implemented into how they run as a group.

- How to Join the Crimson Fleet: In order to join the Crimson Fleet, players have to complete the first two Faction Missions of United Colonies. Complete both Supra et Ultra and Grunt Work to automatically receive the first Crimson Fleet Faction Mission in your quest log, called Deep Cover. Continue to complete the next Faction Missions: Rook Meets King to officially join the Crimson Fleet.
- Crimson Fleet Benefits: Joining the fleet grants you access to The Key, a space station where you can make contraband dealings. You will also be able to avoid hostile encounters with the Crimson Fleet while traveling through the Kryx System. As a member, you will also have access ot their unique wares and equipment including a Scan Jammer that allows you to avoid police Contraband detection.

- As a player, you can then align yourself with one or multiple Factions to gain additional Missions and Rewards from them and gain access to additional benefits and Locations. Factions you don't have an alliance with have a chance to be hostile against you when entering their territory and can potentially put a bounty on you. You can join Factions by accepting and completing Faction Missions which will contribute to the player's relationship with a faction and progress the storyline of the group.
