Starfield A Light in the Darkness Walkthrough
You can start A Light in the Darkness by heading to the docks in the Spaceport at New Atlantis after your first meeting with Constellation. A man, Tommy Bitlow, will approach you and ask if you have a minute to talk. He'll introduce himself as a research intern for the Settled Systems News Network (SSNN) and ask if you were there on Vectera when the Crimson Fleet attacked. If you say yes, he'll ask you to meet his boss, Nadia Muffaz, a top researcher for the SSNN, and give her an eyewitness account on what happened on the moon.
Head to the subway and choose the option to go to the Commercial District. Turn left and head up the ramp, then at the top, turn left again and head towards the quest marker to get to the SSNN headquarters. To the right of the entrance, you can find and speak to Nadia Muffaz. If you tell her about Tommy, she'll recognise you as the 'captain' of the Frontier. You'll then get the option to tell her about the attack on Vectera.
Every time you speak to Nadia about a new event, you'll be able to shape the story the way you want to. When speaking about Vectera, the first question Nadia will ask you is what the pirates were after. If Sarah is still following you, she will suggest you talk about the minerals on the planet rather than the Artifact. The final question will be how the miners managed to defeat the Crimson Fleet. If you answer that they banded together and fought them off, she'll make a quick comment about how 'the heroic miner is a good angle' for the story. You'll then be given 500 Credits and a bit of XP.
