First Contact

Misc Mission

Location Porrima II
Reward 6500 Credit

First Contact is a Miscellaneous Mission in Starfield. Completing Missions allows players to learn more about the world and characters in Starfield. Players can take on Main Missions which progress the main story forward, and other types of optional secondary missions that do not. Miscellaneous Missions are side quests that do not affect your relationship with any Faction or progress the main story. Completing Missions earns players experience, Weapons, Armor, and other types of loot.

I received a message from Paradiso Chief Security Officer, Jiro Sugiyama. There's a sensitive matter he wishes to discuss. I should meet him in Paradiso.

Starfield First Contact Walkthrough

  • Board the Earth Colony Ship Constant, and talk to Captain Diana. She will send you off on a diplomatic mission to negotiate with Paradiso.
  • Land on Paradiso on Porrima 2, and make your way to the Paradiso building so you can have a talk with CEO Oliver.
  • Oliver gives you three options:
    • Have them settle as indentured servants.
    • Buy a new grav drive for them so they can find a new home.
    • Blow up the reactor.
  • If you decide to buy the drive and refit the ship, go to Bennu St. James at HopeTech. Pay 40,000 credits for the parts and labor (25000 with persuasion.) Head back to the ECS Constant Engineering to apply the new drive. Talk to Diana to complete the mission.
  • If you let them stay on Porrima II, you need to collect 40 fiber, 20 sealant, 80 iron and 10 lithium.
  • If you decide to blow up the ship, steal the key from the engineer, set the reactor to self-destruct by selecting emergency reactor overdrive.
