Keeping the Peace is a Miscellaneous Mission in Starfield. Keeping the Peace sees you delivering a package on behalf of UC Security. Completing Missions allows players to learn more about the world and characters in Starfield. Players can take on Main Missions which progress the main story forward, and other types of optional secondary missions that do not. Miscellaneous Missions are side quests that do not affect your relationship with any Faction or progress the main story. Completing Missions earns players experience, Weapons, Armor, and other types of loot.
Due to staffing issues, Sergeant Yumi has asked me to work as a part-time Security Officer. For my first job, I need to talk to Agent Plato over at MAST.
How to unlock Keeping the Peace in Starfield
Keeping the Peace can be unlocked by the following NPC or the following actions:
- Can be obtained by speaking to Sergeant Yumi found at the UC Security Office of the Spaceport on New Atlantis, Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System.

Starfield Keeping the Peace Walkthrough
You can start Keeping the Peace by entering the UC Security Office at the New Atlantis Spaceport and speaking to Sergeant Yumi behind the first desk. Depending on how far you are in the United Colonies Faction Mission line you are, Yumi will greet you differently. Either way, you'll be able to ask about the job on the sign outside. You'll be asked to take up the role of a part-time security officer with your first assignment being to check up on a package from a dead drop.
Make your way to the Mast Building in the Mast District and take the elevator up to the Defense Research / Health and Human Services / Aegis floor. Speak to Agent Plato in the first room to your left. He'll tell you that the dead drop might have been compromised and wants you to handle the pickup. You'll be pointed towards the GalBank ATM at the Spaceport. Head over there and take the package from under one of the benches. Return to Sergeant Yumi at the UC Security Office and you'll be rewarded.
