Primary Sources is a Miscellaneous Mission in Starfield. Primary Sources sees you interviewing business owners in The Well to gauge the area's situation. Completing Missions allows players to learn more about the world and characters in Starfield. Players can take on Main Missions which progress the main story forward, and other types of optional secondary missions that do not. Miscellaneous Missions are side quests that do not affect your relationship with any Faction or progress the main story. Completing Missions earns players experience, Weapons, Armor, and other types of loot.
Nadia Muffaz from the SSNN office in New Atlantis asked me to conduct some interviews with business owners in the Well. I need to find Nurse O'Shea at the Medbay, Theresa Mason at Kay's House, and Henrik Zuran at Apex Electronics.
How to unlock Primary Sources in Starfield
Primary Sources can be unlocked by the following NPC or the following actions:
- Can be obtained by speaking to Nadia Muffaz at the SSNN office in the Commercial District of New Atlantis, Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System.
Starfield Primary Sources Rewards
I've collected all the information Nadia needed. I should return to the SSNN office in New Atlantis to give her my notes.

Starfield Primary Sources Walkthrough
Primary Sources can be started by speaking to Nadia Muffaz at the SSNN Office in New Atlantis. You may have first spoken to her after following the A Light in the Darkness Misc Mission. Ask her about what stories she's working on at the moment, and she'll tell you about her investigative piece on businesses in the Well. She explains that her bosses have prevented her from interviewing the people she needs to get her story going. You can then offer to conduct the interviews for her, to which she expresses her gratitude. There are three business people you will need to find - Theresa Mason, Henrik Zuran, and Nurse O'Shea.
All three interviewees can be found at The Well. Head to the MAST (Embassy) District either by train or by foot and make your way to the subway. Follow your quest marker to elevator within the station, and take it down to the Well. From the elevator, the closest person will be Nurse O'Shea at the Medbay to the right. Speak to her and let her know that your conducting an interview for the SSNN. You'll only have to ask the first question on the list to progress the quest - 'I'd like to know how things are going at the Medbay these days.'. If you offer to help her out with the widespread infection problem, you'll unlock the Reliable Care Misc Mission.
Kay's House can be found past a short walkway next to the Medbay. Inside, you'll be able to find and speak to Theresa Mason. Tell her that you're here to write an article for SSNN and ask her the same question as last time - how her business is doing. She'll explain that while business is continuing as usual, there have been a few shady customers hanging around. Offer to look into it for her, and you'll unlock Suspicious Activities.
Finally, just across the way from Kay's House, you'll be able to find Henrik Zuran inside Apex Electronics. Like before, explain that you're here on behalf of SSNN and you'd like to know more about his business. He won't say much, only that since his business is still standing, all is good.
With all three interviews complete, return to Nadia at the SSNN office. Tell her your opinion on the situation in The Well, and she'll reward you with 2500 Credits.
