Balancing the Books is a Miscellaneous Mission in Starfield. Balancing the Books tasks you with recovering a slate with classified information lost by Rafiq Hamza. Completing Missions allows players to learn more about the world and characters in Starfield. Players can take on Main Missions which progress the main story forward, and other types of optional secondary missions that do not. Miscellaneous Missions are side quests that do not affect your relationship with any Faction or progress the main story. Completing Missions earns players experience, Weapons, Armor, and other types of loot.
A Ryujin technician, Rafiq Hamza, has asked me to recover a slate with some classified intel. He suggested I speak to a panhandler in Neon who he's interacted with in several occasions.
How to unlock Balancing the Books in Starfield
Balancing the Books can be unlocked by the following NPC or the following actions:
- Can be obtained by speaking to Rafiq Hamza on the Operations floor of the Ryujin Tower on Neon, Volii Alpha in the Volii System.
Starfield Balancing the Books Rewards
A Ryujin technician, Rafiq Hamza, has asked me to recover a slate with some classified intel. I spoke to a panhandler who found the slate, and resolved the issue.
Balancing the Books gives the following rewards once completed:

- Speak to Huong Le
- Find the Spreadsheets Near the Employee Break Area (0/3)
- Return to Huong Le
- Return the Slate to Rafiq Hamza
Starfield Balancing the Books Walkthrough
- After speaking to Rafiq Hamza, talk to Huong Le. Agree to help find all three Spreadsheets in exchange for the slate.
- After you find all spreadsheets, get the slate and return to Rafiq Hamza.

found the solution: get AMP inhaler for 2x jump and jump on the pipeline on the right side. Forget about the bin on the left side.
